APPROACH
My goal was to develop a visual identity that embodies the essence of Kintsugi—finding beauty in flaws. This design celebrates the beauty found in perceived imperfections and flaws. The word "perfect" is crafted as an ambigram, a design that reads the same way when viewed from different perspectives. When the wearer looks in the mirror, the ambigram still reads "perfect," serving as a constant, empowering reminder to embrace your authentic self, including all imperfections.
The objective was inspire individuals to recognize that true perfection includes all unique characteristics and imperfections, emphasizing that beauty is about perspective and self-perception.

Kintsugi: A Collection Mended
In this collaboration, I created an apparel collection celebrating kintsugi, the Japanese art of repairing broken pottery with precious metals. The core concept emphasizes the beauty in perceived imperfections.
The signature design features the word "perfect" printed in a flipped style, so when the wearer looks in the mirror, it reads correctly—a reminder to embrace their authentic self, flaws and all.
